Kendra Leigh Castle Midnight Reckoning and Kristen Callihan Firelight Blog Tour with Giveaway

In the world that lives by moonlight, vampires aren’t the only creatures who create dynasties. The second paranormal romance in the Kendra Leigh Castle’s Dark Dynasties series takes readers into a wild world where werewolves — and passion — reign, to share a story of forbidden love.

Wild and passionate by nature, Lyra Black is not just any werewolf. She’s the future leader of the powerful pack of the Thorn – if she can stay alive long enough to inherit the title.

One of the Cait Sith bloodline of vampire cat-shifters, Jaden Harrison has no interest in the wars plaguing the world of night. But when he rescues Lyra from a violent attack, they’re both captured by an insatiable desire that threatens to overwhelm them and bind them together for eternity . . . just as ancient enemies prepare to strike. And when they do, the Thorn and the Cait Sith-and Lyra and Jaden’s love – may never recover from the deadly blow . . .

Forever Romance is excited to introduce debut author Kristen Callihan and the upcoming release of her dark, atmospheric paranormal romance, FIRELIGHT!

Miranda Ellis is a woman tormented. Plagued since birth by a strange and powerful gift, she has spent her entire life struggling to control her exceptional abilities. Yet one innocent but irreversible mistake has left her family’s fortune decimated and forced her to wed London’s most nefarious nobleman.

Lord Benjamin Archer is no ordinary man. Doomed to hide his disfigured face behind masks, Archer knows it’s selfish to take Miranda as his bride. Yet he can’t help being drawn to the flame-haired beauty whose touch sparks a passion he hasn’t felt in a lifetime. When Archer is accused of a series of gruesome murders, he gives in to the beastly nature he has fought so hard to hide from the world. But the curse that haunts him cannot be denied. Now, to save his soul, Miranda will enter a world of dark magic and darker intrigue. For only she can see the man hiding behind the mask.

Leslie Tentler Edge of Midnight Blog Tour with Giveaway and Guest Post

Hi, there! I’m Leslie Tentler and I write about FBI agents who specialize in violent crimes – namely, serial murders. If you’ve ever watched Criminal Minds, then you get the gist of what my FBI guys do. In the Chasing Evil trilogy, each book is about a different agent working for the FBI’s pressure-cooker Violent Crimes Unit, and each with a different, yet equally dangerous, journey.

Do you ever wonder how someone with that type of job – someone who sees such violent, grim things every day – manages to stay sane? Do they hit the gym and work out their frustrations, hit the bottle, or just take a long, hot shower to wipe off the grime of insidiousness?

In my current release, EDGE OF MIDNIGHT, special agent Eric Macfarlane is called down to Jacksonville, Fla., after three abductions of local women occur. Based on key evidence, it appears the abductions could be the work of a serial killer who slipped off the radar years earlier….a killer very important to Eric, as he took someone close to his heart. In fact, Eric shouldn’t even be on the case, but fortunately for him – or maybe unfortunately – he has family in high places with the connections to overrule FBI protocol.

What Eric lost to the killer has left him in a dark place. He wants this man, badly.

And here is the twist – while there has been no trace of two of the abducted women – one of them managed to escape. Mia Hale has no memory of what happened to her, although her wounds indicate it was something terrible. And if this really is the man Eric is seeking, he knows just how awful it was.

This creates an interesting dynamic, as Eric – the man who has seen too much on the job and would like to forget everything – is now faced with a woman who maybe has been given the gift of not remembering. But to help him find the killer, she has to regain her memory of those unspeakable lost hours.

If something bad happened to you, would you prefer to never remember it? What if reliving it could keep someone else safe? Stop a madman from taking more lives? And what if regaining those memories puts you back in the killer’s sights?

EDGE OF MIDNIGHT

The writer becomes the story when crime reporter Mia Hale is discovered on a Jacksonville beach – bloodied and disoriented, but alive. She remembers nothing, but her wounds bear the signature of a sadistic serial killer. After years lying dormant, The Collector has resumed his grim hobby: abducting women and taking gruesome souvenirs before dumping their bodies. But none of his victims has ever escaped – and he wants Mia back, more than he ever wanted any of the others.

FBI agent Eric Macfarlane has pursued The Collector for a long time. The case runs deep in his veins, bordering on obsession…and Mia holds the key. She’ll risk everything to recover her memory and bring the madman to justice, and Eric swears to protect this fierce, fragile survivor. But The Collector will not be denied. In his mind, he knows just how their story ends.

Follow My Blog Friday #83

If you are new to the FF fun, Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, myself of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Now to make this FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link above FEATURES and Features and Follow Friday and get on the waiting list!  It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.

This Meme is hosted by Rachel from Parajunkee’s View and Alison from Alison Can Read on Fridays.

The Friday Follow Feature is …

132b950c Feature & Follow #80

We are four cousins (well, two pairs of sisters) who have been sharing books, and our crazy love for them for ages — and I do mean crazy. We even took the time to invent, and perfect (well, close enough, for now) a card game, made with index cards, using all our favorite characters. We call it Ultimate Showdown: Crazy Hearts, which is where our review rating system comes from.

We decided we wanted to share our love of books with more than just ourselves, and so Pretty in Fiction was born.

Hey everyone! You may know me (pffft, yeah, riiiight!) as L.E.Olteano, I’m Livia for friends, meaning you guys :D. I’m a 24 yo girl/woman (I’m not sure what I can describe myself as at this age; uhm, female? Whatever.) stranger from a strange land – Romania – that loves everything about the written word.

I’ve had on and off reading sprees ever since I can remember, usually exactly at times when I was supposed to do something completely different. What can I say, that’s part of my personal charm, fu~fu. I tend to have crushes on the villains in any book, or at least the bada$-y sort of characters, give me the dark, the brooding, the mischievous, the possessive … *yum* I also host a deeply rooted obsession for vampire-related fiction since I was 7 yo and saw Interview with a Vampire at the cinema – oh, those intense and consuming eyes, that fair skin, those deadly beauties …  Errrm, yes, as I was saying.

I have somewhat of broad reading horizons, I go for pretty much anything that titillates my reading gland after the first few pages, , with a few notable exceptions (like DIY and religion-focused books); I’ve been blogging since March 15th, 2011. I’m a supporter of the indie/self-pub phenomenon, and my reviews are mostly for such works. Aside them, you can also find reviews of traditionally published authors, sure (though not as many…I’m noob, and from a mystery place in Europe, what can you expect, right?), but my guilty pleasure reads revolve around smutty, villain-ified, hunk-ilicious romance, paranormal more often then not (but not necessarily).

My usual routine is squealing, raving, and generally fangirling once I like something. Some of my big time favorites are Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series (oh, the yum factor!), Becca Fitzpatrick’s novels, Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga, any and all writings of Anne Rice, and pretty much anything original, quirky, peculiar, edgy or gutsy (have I mentioned hot? fu~fu).

My greatest fear is I won’t manage to read all the books I wanna read; so many awesome books out there, so little time … *sigh*

Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to get your hands on any particular book?

Hmm I haven’t really done anything crazy to get my hand on any particular book but I have done some crazy book related stuff though.

When I was elementary school I would have books on my desk and in my desk so I could read all the time while pretending to be paying attention in class.

While in high school I would borrow books and leave some in my locker but I didn’t return them on time so once when I grabbed a book from the locker the card at the back of the book ripped.  When I returned it to the school library the librarian yelled at me (he was always upset all the time).

Question of the Week:

Do you prefer your romance heroes inked, pierced, neither or maybe even both?

I prefer my romance hero with a little bit of ink (one or two small tattoos) though I prefer my real life hero to neither to be inked or pierced.  Here’s a few examples of my favorites:

Zarek from Dance From the Devil
 Zsadist from Lover Awakened
